Sunday, April 1, Noon| The Girls and Sports Report: National Insights from 10,678 Girls | Ruling Our Experiences (ROX) | This event is FREE to the public.

Featuring Dr. Lisa Hinkelman, Founder/Executive Director – ROX

ROX launched a groundbreaking national effort, which surveyed nearly 11,000 girls across the United States in order to develop a deep understanding of the critical issues impacting girls’ lives. We learned interesting statistics, such as 46 percent of high school girls do not believe they are smart enough for their dream careers. We wanted to learn more and sought to answer the question – What is different for girls who participate in sports?

The Girls and Sports Impact Report will share the impact that sport participation has in the lives of girls and provide adults with tangible skills and strategies to support, encourage and empower the female athletes in their lives. This report and presentation will share findings on girls’ sport participation and its relationship to girls’ friendships, school connection, confidence, social media and technology use and career leadership/aspirations.
